My first knowledge of Crucial was through Digg. I came across an entry offering free domain registration. I had been thinking about registering a domain name, but had not decided on a place to do it.

Registration was simple and painless. I already had a host for my website on a different server. With a simple question through support about masking my current address, I was set. I was quickly contacted via email for clarification—I did not ask the question very well—and they set it all up. No work needed on my part.

I moved to Crucial for my web hosting after some issues with my original host. It was a painless transition. I needed some help getting my FTP to work though. I accessed the support desk again, and found out that I was not even pointing my FTP client to the right address. They straightened me out and I uploaded my files. My site was up instantly!

I did not have any trouble getting my email up and running. I use Gmail as my email client and there is no delay in receiving anything sent to my new address.

As with everything, there are always areas for improvement. I believe the online FAQ section needs some help. Some of the responses to the questions should be expanded. They are too vague and left me with more questions than answers. I probably would not have needed to ask for help if there was more detailed information in the FAQ.

This is my experience so far. I have been a user of Crucial's services since December 2006. I would recommend their services to anyone looking for a domain registrar and host.
